At the risk of irritating Doc (if he's still onboard),
(8^>) I was wondering (very non-technical question) about your bike lineages (what bikes you've had -- starting with the 1st one -- that led up to Savage ownership). I get the feeling that this is a "starter" bike for very few of you (us).
My lineage:
1.(in '63)German 90cc bike w/Earl's forks (been so
long I can't remember the brand name -- had 3
letters);
2. Honda 305cc Superhawk;
3. BSA 650cc Lightning;
4. HD 900cc Sportster;
5. Norton 850cc Commando;
6. Honda 750cc;
7. Moto Guzzi 850cc El Dorado ('85);
8. soon -- Suzuki Savage!!
Guess you could say it's a re-entry bike for me.
